Water is known to the ancient races upon the earth as one of the four elementals, water, fire, earth, and wind. Until recently, water was touted as the only element on earth to conform to all three states of matter, solid/ice, liquid/water, gas/steam or vapor. However two more states of matter have been classified, the fourth is plasma, think of the sun’s coronal ejections of plasma, and Bose-Einstein condensates. A new discovery has also arisen, “Water’s strange and life-giving qualities could be at least partly explained by quantum mechanics. That is the claim being made by a group of physicists in the UK and the US, who have made extremely sensitive measurements of the protons in tiny samples of water and have found that these protons behave very differently to those in much larger sample.”* They call this a new quantum state of water.
Ice, snow flakes, wind and gravity made this particular sculpture in January 2016.
Another long low sculpture reveals hidden light, slow and sinuous form, sculpted mostly by the blowing winds after the storm subsided. What a master artist is nature. Nature has taught me how to be the kind of sculptor I ended up being in this life.
About 71 percent of the Earth’s surface is water-covered, and the oceans hold about 96.5 percent of all Earth’s water. Water also exists in the air as water vapor, in rivers and lakes, in icecaps and glaciers, in the ground as soil moisture and in aquifers, and even in you and your dog.**
When the master sculptor decides to enhance the palette, the Sun and pollution and nature provide a spectacular spectrum of colors.
These pebbles and rocks were water carved by this stream in the great Olympic National Park. We arranged them into sculptures because we had fun doing so!
The Secret Life of Water was written by Masaru Emoto, a Japanese author, researcher and entrepreneur.*** He claimed that human consciousness has an effect on the molecular structure of water. He took pictures of ice crystals which listened to words of love and words of hate. The water filled with vibrations of love produced ice crystals that were fully and beautifully formed. The water programmed with anger and hate produced crystals that were badly deformed and broken.
It was, as I was reading his book in my studio, that I suddenly looked up at the Myers Lemon trees that our sons had given me one memorable Mother’s Day. I remembered with a kind of horror that as the new plants were brought up to the porch for the first time, that I carelessly thought, “That tree will live, and the other tree will die.”
I looked at the trees in front of me a year later, and one thrived and the other had one leaf upon it. So, I went to the stick tree and asked its forgiveness. Then I held the water in my hands and blessed the water with intentions that the tree recover from my curse and also begin to thrive. After that, I regularly took water I had placed upon my altar during meditation and watered the tree with that. The tree began to get tiny white bumps all over it. These bumps were actually blossoms. It had perhaps 60 blossoms total on bare branches. These blossoms eventually fell off with no fruit started, but then came vigorous and numerous leaves. It took a few years before it started to produce lemons, but eventually fully recovered.
I named the trees Bella, and Bellisima. Here they are today with blossoms and fruit budding. Next winter we will have lemons for the holidays. It is always a treat and each one a miracle. They are forgiving and patient souls, these blessed trees. They are an integral part of the ecology of our home.
Ever since I read Emoto’s book in 2005, I have on a daily basis blessed the water I consume during a given day. It is said many times over by different branches of science that water is the most life giving element we have. I drink about 3 liters of water a day with the proper amount of minerals and salts added to my diet to help the water be efficient as it flows through the body doing all of its magic for my cells and spirit.
The manual we never received at birth about how to care for our human body, would recommend drinking water in appropriate quantities to help the body run with more efficiency and power.
So think about your body, and find out what amount of water and minerals are right for you, and perhaps join me in blessing the water you drink with thoughts of love, of appreciation for the water’s role in our lives and in the lives of all living beings here.
I love you. I bless you. I thank you.
